Applications

CEWELD NiCrCo 617 is a high-temperature alloy specifically developed for welding nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloys (UNS N06617).

The filler metal is also suitable for overlay welding (cladding) applications where a similar alloy is required, such as components in gas turbines, ethylene processing equipment and other applications exposed to high temperatures and severe operating conditions.

Properties

The weld metal provides an excellent combination of high mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures above 800 °C and up to approximately 1150 °C.

CEWELD NiCrCo 617 is particularly suitable for welding nickel-iron-chromium alloys where long-term exposure to elevated temperatures is required. The weld deposit maintains its mechanical properties and oxidation resistance even under extreme thermal conditions.
