Applications

CEWELD ERTi-12 is designed for applications requiring a combination of increased strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good weldability.

The alloy is widely used in the chemical industry and is particularly suitable for pressure vessels and piping systems due to its higher mechanical strength compared to conventional titanium grades.

Thanks to its excellent performance at elevated temperatures, Grade 12 is often used in critical installations where reliability and long service life are essential.

Properties

CEWELD ERTi-12 (Ti-0.8Ni-0.3Mo) is a medium-strength titanium alloy originally developed to provide enhanced resistance to crevice corrosion in hot chloride-containing environments, at a lower cost than Grade 7.

The addition of nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo) improves corrosion resistance by influencing the electrochemical behavior of the material in crevices and under deposits.

Grade 12 offers better elevated temperature properties than Grade 2 and Grade 3, combining higher strength with excellent weldability. This makes the alloy highly suitable for pressure vessels, piping, and other applications in aggressive chemical environments.
